Wed 18 Sep

Author:    Catgories: Events

Please note: All tours begin on historic Fayetteville Street near the Capitol – except for Raleigh’s Roots.

There are two 1:30 Saturday tours. The Capitol to Glenwood tour is a fantastic way to explore the heart of downtown. The Raleigh’s Roots Tour takes place in the historic Seaboard/Oakwood/Mordecai districts at the edge of downtown, an area that is a bit off the beaten path and very “foodie”.

The 3:30 and 4:00 Saturday tours stay mostly close to the Capitol but might also walk to the Warehouse/ Gallery OR Glenwood Avenue South districts depending upon the weekly schedule. They include enough food to be considered dinner by most people and drink pairings along the way.

There is also a Saturday 5:00 tour that explores Raleigh’s speakeasy bars.

On Fridays, two tours are available: 1:45, which begins near the Capitol and heads to Seaboard and Oakwood, and 3:00 OR 4:00, which have similar schedules as the Saturday Dinner & Drinks tours.

The capital of North Carolina is home to some of the most dynamic restaurants in the country. Known for effortlessly blending modern architecture with historic buildings and monuments, Raleigh showcases fine dining and eclectic eateries. Whether you’re a resident or a visitor, you’ll enjoy the opportunity to talk with chefs and owners who are serving innovative ethnic and southern cuisine, scratch-made desserts, local beer, wine, and more. There’s something for everyone in Raleigh!
