Durham tours are scheduled for every Saturday, all year ’round. The 1:45 and 3:15 tours take similar routes through downtown, but the later tour includes more to drink than the earlier one.

There are two 1:30 Saturday tours. The Capitol to Glenwood tour is a fantastic way to explore the heart of downtown. The Raleigh’s Roots Tour takes place in the historic Seaboard/Oakwood/Mordecai districts at the edge of downtown, an area that is a bit off the beaten path and very “foodie”.

The 3:30 and 4:00 Saturday tours stay mostly close to the Capitol but might also walk to the Warehouse/ Gallery OR Glenwood Avenue South districts depending upon the weekly schedule. They include enough food to be considered dinner by most people and drink pairings along the way.

There is also a Saturday 5:00 tour that explores Raleigh’s speakeasy bars.

On Fridays, two tours are available: 1:45, which begins near the Capitol and heads to Seaboard and Oakwood, and 3:00 OR 4:00, which have similar schedules as the Saturday Dinner & Drinks tours.

There is also a 10am Farmers’ Market Tour and Cooking Class that takes place in season (March through October).

Learn the basics of crafting classic cocktails from Shannon Healy at Alley Twenty Six, a craft cocktail bar located in downtown Durham, NC. The one hour class will demonstrate the three different classic cocktail techniques: 1) stirred, 2) shaken and strained, and 3) shaken and poured. The approach of the class is learning each technique by tasting each cocktail.
