Chief Tasting Officer

1. What tours do I lead? I lead tours in Raleigh and Durham! I am also the CTO (Chief Tasting Officer) for Taste Carolina. Which means, when I am not on a tour, I am working in our office, taste testing new restaurants and planning upcoming private events!
2. Why I love leading tours? Leading tours allows me to show off our amazing cities each and every weekend to new and returning guests! I love schmoozing with everyone and what better way to do that than on a walking food tour to all of the delicious restaurants and bars around!
3. Favorite food/drink? Gin! And cheese.

My name is Sam Dinner! Yes! That is my real last name. One might say that I was born to work with food someway, somehow! I grew up in Connecticut and then moved down to North Carolina to attend East Carolina University. I graduated with my bachelors and masters in elementary education. I am now working full time for Taste Carolina and absolutely love educating my guests on the best food and drinks around! Outside of work, I enjoy exploring new parks/trails with my dog, going out with friends and eating my way through lots of new cities with my fiancé. There seems to be a fun event almost every weekend and I sometimes have trouble keeping up! I hope to see you out on one of our tours soon! I just can’t wait to show off all of our favorite places!
