The 10:45 Culinary Carrboro Tasting and Market Tour ties local ingredients to the restaurants that use them. This tour includes food at four different restaurants, substantial tastings with farmers and vendors at the Carrboro Farmers’ Market, and a beer tasting. The 3:00 Culinary Carrboro & Chapel Hill Afternoon Tasting Tour includes visits to four to five different restaurants with a few drink pairings.

–The 40+ year old Carrboro Farmers’ Market. Talk with farmers and vendors who are passionate about the fruits of their labor, which you will sample in abundance. (early tour only)

–Neighborhood gems that open early just for the tour. Chat with chefs who are fixtures at the farmers’ market. Enjoy their seasonal creations.

–Incredible gourmet pizza with all local toppings and fantastic hospitality. Learn about the owners’ foodie accomplishments and taste their creations.

–A unique, farm-to-table Indian restaurant beloved in the community. It’s an adventurous treat!

–Our friend the pecan farmer’s soon-to-be-famous pecan pie. (early tour only)

–Local beer tastings at a Carrboro bottle shop.

–A fun and funky bread pudding dessert created just for the tour, paired with a cocktail. (3:00 tour only)

Private and corporate tours are available any day or evening of the week.

Public parking in Carrboro is available in lots and along Roberson Street. The lot next to Open Eye Cafe is not ticketed (usually).

Meet in front of Open Eye Cafe, 101 S. Greensboro St., Carrboro, 15 minutes prior to your tour time.

Tours run rain or shine. Please dress appropriately for the weather. Wear comfortable shoes; walking distance is 2 to 3 miles. Tour runs 3 to 3.5 hours.

Please don’t be late! Meet the group 15 minutes prior to your tour time so that we can arrive at the restaurants promptly.

Bring a government-issued ID if you plan on drinking alcohol.

Register in advance. If you are trying to register for a tour the morning of and registration has closed, please call (919) 237-2254 to check availability. Sorry, no exchanges or refunds. If we have to cancel the tour due to extreme weather, we will refund your money.
